Sea Shepherd UK is a registered charity in England & Wales [Charity Commission registered number 1110501] but we have volunteers in Scotland, Orkney, Shetland, Northern Ireland and Jersey.

Sea Shepherd UK is growing rapidly and we are always looking for proactive onshore volunteers to engage in outreach at events, organise fundraisers and support our marine conservation campaigns around the UK and beyond.

Sea Shepherd UK is a non-profit organisation, run purely on the donations of our supporters. To ensure that these donations are not directed away from our campaigns, a small fee helps to cover administrative costs involved in processing your volunteer application.

We need volunteers who can offer the following kinds of help:

  • Fundraising- Organize fundraiser events and initiatives
  • Outreach- Assist in manning an information table at events, festivals, fairs, boat shows etc... and to seek new events in your own area
  • Education- Visit schools, universities, clubs, or organizations to give presentations on Sea Shepherd UK’s own campaigns and how our charity supports Sea Shepherd’s fleet and international defending marine wildlife and habitats.
  • Translation work
  • Vessel Support- Finding contacts and businesses to support our vessels – Eg: providing servicing, parts, equipment, moorings etc...
  • Developing media and celebrity contacts for Sea Shepherd UK
  • Organising beach cleans around the UK
  • Establishing beneficial relationships with ethical initiatives, projects and companies
  • Engineers, Graphic Designers, Drone Operators, Boat Drivers and much more…
